Koch Fertilizer’s Beatrice and Enid plants earned 2020 ENERGY
STAR® certification from the U.S. EPA for superior energy performance.
Earning ENERGY STAR certification signifies the plants
perform in the top 25 percent of similar fertilizer manufacturing facilities
nationwide for energy efficiency and meet strict energy efficiency performance
levels set by the EPA.
This is Beatrice’s second year to earn the ENERGY STAR and
Enid’s first time to earn certification. Koch Fertilizer improved its energy
performance by managing energy strategically across the entire organization and
by making cost-effective improvements to its plants.
This certification builds on Koch Industries commitment to
responsible corporate stewardship. Koch Fertilizer joins other Koch businesses
earning ENERGY STAR recognition, including Flint Hills Resources, Georgia
Pacific and Guardian Industries. Additionally, in 2017, Koch Industries earned
the ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year Award.
