Production Facilities
This is where it starts. Our nitrogen plants take natural gas, combine it with nitrogen from the air, and under intense heat and pressure make anhydrous ammonia — the building block for all of our nitrogen fertilizer. From there, we further process the ammonia into urea, UAN, SUPERU®, APP, ANS or ATS, all essential components for growers across the globe.
A significant portion of our workforce is at our production facilities. We have dedicated, hard-working people focused on every part of product development:
- Process engineers manage the conversion of gas into fertilizer.
- Operators and maintenance workers keep the machinery operating effectively.
- Security and loading teams focus on efficiently shipping what we produce.
Because our production facilities are the backbone of our organization, and as our company and our subsidiaries continue to grow, we’re always looking for new individuals to join our team. Operators, mechanics, technicians, and engineers are just some of the positions we’re often looking to fill.
Commercial Team
Our commercial capability is made up of three dedicated groups, working together to get the job done.
- Product line owners constantly work together to understand the market, setting prices and selling product.
- The production planning team optimizes the mix of products to meet customer demand.
- Our sales team works with our broad ag retail, distribution and industrial customers to sell into the markets that benefit most from our product.
Terminals Team
Whether at the back of our plant, or at a separate location, our terminal team receives product and stores it closer to our customer base. This ensures the product is close to where it is needed, when it is needed.
The team then efficiently ships all the product we make year-round in the short application periods of fall and spring.
Logistics
The team delivers product in bulk through barges, railcars and trucks to supply our customer base in the most efficient manner available. When fertilizer season starts, and application windows are tight, our customers trust our logistics team to deliver products for their growers with consistency and precision.
